Christmas countdown #3

For my 3rd task for my Christmas countdown I researched want Canadian people do for
Christmas. I found some of these facts what I think are kinda cool.I like how they go skiing and they have nice bid dinner's and lunch together. It took a while to pick what country I want to do but them I decided on Canada because I want to know what they do for Christmas and I found out lots.

For my 2nd task I decided to make the wreath. on mine I added 2 bells some candy canes,Missal toe and some yellow ornaments. I like how it turned out because it took a while to to make the spikes.
For this one I did the elf level.

For my first task I made rapping paper. I added
L&P bottles, Kiwis, Stairs, Tip top, and dots.
I thought this would be fun so that's why I did it as my first one. I did a blue background because the darker suited it because I tried other colours but I like the dark blue the most.

Making food

For the food making we make banana splits and baked potato.First my group make the potato then we the banana splits.For the banana slips we used marshmallows and chocolate buttons the we rapped into tin foul and then hitchy and Mr sigh cooked them.And for the potato we cut it a little and then we added some ham and some cheese then we rapped it and hitchy and Mr sigh cooked it.
I didn't really like it so I saved them for my dad.

Year 6 bike ride

 Thursday last week I went ton a bike ride with some of the year 6's.
It was really run but tiring. Me and some friends would ride side by side because we got board a lot. From McDonald I got a frozen coke and some fries.

Chapter Chat W7 Fabulous finish

For the last 2 weeks Whetu has been doing there fabulous finish. For mine I made ghost. On one side its the track and on the other is his house. Under his head is a happy face( The face and body is a flap)
And under his body is his track uniform and his silver shoes. The hardest part would be doing the house because I needed to make it look kind of old. The easiest was doing all the colouring.

For my Backpack I added water, Food, Matches ,First aid kit , Blanket and flash light. I think it was really run making this because we got to add things in what we need if we get lost in the bush.
I added these things because I think there the things you would really need.

W5 CC T4 Creation Station

This week for Chapter chat I did Creation Station. I made coach Brody's medal. I use paper to make the medal and the part what goes around your head. I used glitter on the medal to make it a little more shinny. The hardest part was painting the 1st on the medal because the glitter made it harder to do. The easiest was making the medal part because I just has to cut out some circles from paper.

Native tree blog

The native tree i'm doing is the Rumi the other name the have is the Dacrydium cupressinum.
The Rumi is mostly found in the north island but mostly around the west cost.

Humans use this plant mostly for timber because it really good timber. I chose to do this native tree because I have heard of it and I though it would be fun. 

CC W4 T4 Research

 This week for Chapter Chat I did Research and I researched about Jason Reynolds. I made some flaps and some facts I didn't.
The hardest thing was doing all the flaps because I had to get the right size and the easiest was ruling out the box's.I really like the book because at the moment Coach has found out that Ghost stole the shoes and he said to Ghost he wont tell his mum.

 This knot I made is the over hand knot I think this knot would be helpful if you need to use rope to tie around trees and fences this was one of the first knots I learnt and one of the easiest one I learnt to make. I give it 2/5

This is the Alpine Butterfly Knot I made I think this was the hardest to make because it took long to learn to do and I need lots of help from friends but then after about 20 try's I finely got it. I think you can use this if your putting up a tent. I give this a 5/5

Theses are the knots I did. I made the Reef knot.I think this was fun because we got to make lots of different knot and I learn hot to do different ones what I never knew excised.I think you can use thins while camping and you can use it to hang things up and tie things up. I give this a 3/5

Kea troop building a tent

I think the hardest thing about building the tent was putting the poles in because we had to do one at a time have it was hard to do.
I think the thing what worked out well was that some of us new haw to build a tent so that helped a little.I learnt that you always need to follow the instructions because if you don't who knows what will happen.

CC W3 T4 a way with words

This week for Chapter Chat I did a way with words and for that task I need to make a poem for my poem I picked to do Ghost. I think the hardest thing was doing all the dots because it took a while and the easiest was colouring because it didn't take to long.

Kea troop

We decided to make these two bush huts, we think these ones will be the best for us to make because the first one we know we can make it because we will have the supplies to make it just that we don’t have rocks but it will still work because we think don't need rocks.

With the second one we think it but be a little easier the someone of the others because we need a tarp, Rope and a tree.

• Were to build your hut: Near trees and near a river but not to close to the river because if the river gets high you will get wet but if your not to close you will have time to get what you need and go
• What does the tent need to protect you from: Bad weather , Bugs and mosses  
• Things you can use:Rope , Shoe lases ,Sticks , Tarp , Rock's , Flax and Leaves 
• ' Good thing You get fresh air 
• 'Bad things : you will get bitten by bugs and you will get hurt, the hut might fall down.
   

Blog Bonus

On  23 of October 2019 was calf club some people didn't do calf club so they made mini Scene. for my mini Scene I made a little camping hut.I brought stones , Grass , wood house , sticks for trees and some other things. The hardest thing about planning is I didn't know what I should do and what I needed.I think the hardest thing about putting my Creation together was putting the stones in the right place because the stone pathway was hard to get right the first time.

CC T4 W2 Digital Design

This week I did Digital Design. I made running shoes
and a running outfit I thought would be a good for running.I chose red and black because they go together well. So far in the book Ghost has stolen the silver running shoes.I like the book because there is a lot of detail with all the characters.The shoes I made are Nike because they go well with the outfit I made.

Last term I made my calendar art. We had some topics and we got to pick which one we wanted to do. I picked the flower   one because I thought it look cool and I like how it turned out.

We made them have cool things on the out side witch were like peddles.I think my turned out pretty awesome.

W1 T4 Creation Station

This week I did Creation Station for chapter chat.
The book the class and I are readying is Ghost.
I think its a great book because the character Ghost is really good at running.
This week I made Ghost and he's running on the running track.
His real name is Castle but his nick name is Ghost.

Blog challenge

In the holidays I spent most of my time with my  grandparents. One day we went shopping at Silvia part.I got lots of cool things such as clothes and things for my siblings for there Christmas presents. I love shopping at Silvia park because they got  a lot of shops. The shops I went to was H&M, Typo, Smiggles and some others.
I really enjoyed the holidays because I get to spend time with family.
